Effective today, cafe georgio will be closing it's doors. This was and is a very difficult decision to make and we have been wrestling with it for quite some time. There is no "good" way to close a successful business.

It breaks our hearts to send this news, because so many of you have become dear friends.
George has been in the business for more than 30 years and as owner of the cafe for over 20. Quite simply, it has become a physical challenge for George to continue.

Thank you all for being more than just customers and for sharing your lives, laughs and milestones. We will never forget you(and hope you won't forget us either.)

PS If you have gift certificates for cafe georgio, simply mail them to cafe georgio, 24 Donati Road, Pittsburgh, Pa 15241 and we will send you a check for the full amount. Make sure to include a self addressed envelope. We would like to close our books at the end of June so please do this asap.

PSS If you know anyone wanting to get into the restaurant business, please give them George's phone number 724-255-2185. We want to lease the cafe as turnkey, ready to go and there is a liquor license available.
